The FMINDK66 is Forge Motorsport’s dedicated induction solution for Volkswagen Transporter T6 and T6.1 2.0 BiTDI models equipped with the larger 90mm MAF housing.
Developed in response to popular demand, this beautifully engineered induction kit has been specifically designed for the Volkswagen Transporter Bi-Turbo platform. Building on the success of the popular FMINDK48 intake system, the FMINDK66 provides a direct replacement for the factory airbox lid, offering a high-quality performance upgrade while retaining excellent fitment and OEM-style integration.
The precision-fabricated Forge Motorsport heat shield fits neatly into the factory airbox location, ensuring the intake system avoids drawing in unwanted hot air from the engine bay. This design allows your Transporter to breathe more efficiently, helping to improve throttle response, performance, and overall driving enjoyment.
As with all Forge Motorsport induction kits, the FMINDK66 utilises a high-quality Pipercross foam air filter, offering significantly increased surface area compared to the standard filter arrangement. This allows greater airflow into the engine while delivering an enhanced induction note that perfectly complements the character of the BiTDI powerplant.
During development, Forge Motorsport worked alongside independent Volkswagen tuning specialists Avon Tuning to thoroughly test the FMINDK66 on the dyno. Testing demonstrated measurable performance improvements across the rev range, with gains becoming particularly noticeable through the mid-range where drivers spend most of their time on the road.
On vehicles fitted with a tuning box, testing recorded peak gains of 12.5bhp and 20Nm of torque. Most impressive, however, were the substantial mid-range improvements, where gains of up to 23bhp at 3700rpm and 44Nm of torque at 3600rpm were achieved. These improvements result in stronger acceleration, improved drivability, and enhanced towing performance, making the FMINDK66 an excellent upgrade for heavier Transporters, including camper conversions and fully equipped work vans.
