Forge Motorsport Uprated Intercooler – VW T5.1 & T6 2.0 BiTDI (FMINTVWT52)
Improve charge-air cooling and help maintain consistent engine performance with this uprated Forge Motorsport intercooler for the VW Transporter T5.1 and T6 with the 2.0 BiTDI twin-turbo diesel engine.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the original intercooler, this upgraded unit features a larger and more thermally efficient core. As a result, it cools the intake charge more effectively, helping the engine recover power while reducing the heat stress placed on surrounding components.
During Forge testing, the upgraded intercooler consistently reduced intake-air temperatures by a further 10°C compared with the standard intercooler. Furthermore, its free-flowing core produces less resistance and reduces the pressure drop across the intercooler.
This upgrade is particularly beneficial for remapped vans and vehicles fitted with tuning boxes, where increased boost pressure can generate considerably more heat. Depending on the vehicle, driving conditions and driving style, improved intake efficiency may also help support fuel economy.
